A Phoenix city official was killed after he crawled out from the driver’s seat of his speeding Mercedes-Benz, stood atop the roof and “car-surfed.”
Kevin Keogh, 55, the city’s finance manager, was spotted by witnesses in nearby Scottsdale “surfing” on his car before he tumbled off. Minutes later, a motorist reported being rear-ended by a Mercedes with no driver.

A Pennsylvania man was charged last week with embezzling $10 million from a firearms company where he was chief financial officer – one year after his mom went to prison for stealing $1.3 million from the synagogue where she kept the books.
Federal prosecutors in Philadelphia said Denis Shusterman siphoned off the cash from Yonkers-based Kimber Manufacturing, using the money to produce three films, start a financial-services company and purchase a $2.2 million home.
His mother, Betty Shusterman, is currently serving a 51-month sentence in the federal pen in Danbury, Conn., for ripping off Temple Sinai in Dresher, Pa.

An Israeli gardener who lost his driver’s license after being caught behind the wheel on a cellphone has set off on a 180-mile trek atop his lawnmower to protest the penalty.
“I have no income or unemployment benefits,” said Yuval Weizman as he puttered past curious onlookers in his hometown of Kfar Rubin yesterday as he set off for Jerusalem.
“I have no money for a driver. I have no choice.”
