He doesn’t get the appeal.

The Washington, DC law professor called by Republicans to testify in the impeachment hearings likened the push to the banana that sold for six figures at Art Basel Miami.

“Frankly, when I look at the House efforts to impeach President Trump, I see a banana taped to a wall,” wrote Jonathan Turley in a Monday opinion piece for The Los Angeles Times.

“As others coo over the power and evidence of the report, I continue to look around scratching my head, wondering why others don’t see the obvious gaps and conflicts,” he added.

Turley — a George Washington University professor who last week warned the House Judiciary Committee against impeaching President Trump on emotion — was referencing the $120,000 sale of an actual banana duct-taped to a wall at the out-there art show on Friday.

One viewer interpreted the piece — entitled “Comedian” by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan — as lunch, yanking the banana off the wall and gobbling it up on Saturday.
