White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on Thursday vowed to crackdown on an emerging black market that peddles valuable medical equipment overseas.

Speaking at the White House daily coronavirus press briefing, Navarro described the shady exchange of personal protective equipment from domestic hoarders to brokers, who then ship the goods abroad at a profit.

“When President Trump heard about that, he said that’s not going to happen anymore under my watch,” Navarro said.

Navarro said that an order, expected to be issued Friday, will enable the US Customs and Border Protection to enforce the crack down.

“So we are going to crack down unmercifully,” Navarro said.

“And I would say to the hoarders out there, the brokers who are trying to make money off the misery of people in this country or around the world — that’s got to stop. That stuff has absolutely got to stop.”

Navarro told the underground players to send their supplies to FEMA for a fair price.
