They decked the halls — and each other.
A ritzy Nantucket Christmas celebration erupted into mayhem as men decked out in “Ralph Lauren and Burberry” traded blows just moments after Santa Claus made his appearance, according to shocking footage.
The wild brawl broke out on Federal Street on Saturday afternoon during the Massachusetts island’s 51st Annual Christmas Stroll, where hundreds had gathered to visit local businesses in one of America’s priciest small towns, the Nantucket Current reported.

“All of the sudden there were two groups,” a witness told KISS108 on Tuesday.
“It was kind of like the Jets and the Sharks from ‘West Side Story,’ only in Ralph Lauren and Burberry. It was 20-somethings versus like 60-somethings.”
In one group, a young brawler could be seen pushing an older gentleman. In another, a young slugger sucker-punched a man in a snazzy brown trench coat in the back of the neck, prompting another person to leap onto the attacker’s back, the chaotic video showed.

One of the scrappers was then thrown to the ground, as an older man charged after someone much younger and tried to land a punch — all while a black SUV sat in the middle of the road.
Several of the men began chasing each other, trading blows and shoving one another as frantic bystanders tried to break up the rowdy group, according to the raucous video.
“It was crazy,” the onlooker told the radio station. “It was mayhem.”
The violent fracas exploded after hundreds gathered on nearby Main Street to watch Santa parade by at the weekend-long seasonal street fair, according to the Current.
It’s unclear what spurred the dapper men to brawl in the street.
Although Nantucket police eventually arrived around 2 p.m., no arrests were made, and none of those involved pressed charges, the outlet reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
