Terrifying footage shows an out-of-control car veer past a San Francisco dead-end street and flip over an embankment, knocking over a tree and landing upside down Saturday.

The hair-raising stunt, which was caught on camera, happened at the Sanchez Street Stairs, a public staircase and historical landmark in the Castro district.

Miraculously, no injuries were reported, but the occupants of the vehicle had fled by the time first responders arrived, fire officials said.

Four people were seen grabbing bags and frantically running back up the stairs after prying open the car’s damaged doors upon its landing.

“Call 911 now!” a bystander could be heard yelling in the aftermath of the chaos.

It was unclear if the car had been stolen, and the incident remained under investigation.

Wild footage captured the incident from multiple angles, which made the cinematic crash resemble an outtake of the 1968 Steven McQueen movie “Bullitt,” which features harrowing police chases on the city’s steep hills.
