A survivor of the Wisconsin casino shooting that killed two employees is recovering after he underwent emergency surgery to have his “jaw wired shut,” his family said.

Dan “Danny” Mulligan was working at the Duck Creek Kitchen and Bar inside the Oneida Casino in Green Bay when the gunman opened fire on Saturday night, the Green Bay Gazette reported.

“We are all so thankful he’s alive. We didn’t know if he was most of the night. It’s horrific,” his sister, Caitlin Mulligan, told the paper Sunday night.

Caitlin said her brother is in stable condition after being airlifted to a Milwaukee hospital.

“He just got out of surgery and his jaw was wired shut,” Caitlin wrote on a GoFundMe page launched to raise money for his medical bills.

“Thank you all for donating, sharing, praying and thinking of Danny. This all seems like a bad nightmare and we are waiting to wake up.”

The attack began Saturday night when a gunman unleashed bullets inside the restaurant, killing two employees and injuring Danny, the outlet reported.

The suspect, who has not been identified, was shot dead by police, authorities said.

“He was targeting a specific victim who was not there, but he decided to still shoot some of the victim’s friends or co-workers, it appears,” Brown County Sheriff’s Lt. Kevin Pawlak said.
