A Montana woman was charged with raping a 12-year-old girl, after sexually assaulting the child on two occasions, authorities said.

Reene Marie Mills, 38, of Helena, is facing felony charges of sexual intercourse without consent and sexual assault after the girl told counselors and a forensic interviewer about two alleged attacks, the Helena Independent Record reports.

The girl, who spoke to investigators starting last month, alleged that Mills raped or sexually assaulted her at a store near Helena and at a private residence, according to charging documents obtained by the newspaper.

Mills appeared in Lewis and Clark Justice Court on Tuesday by video. A judge set her bond at $50,000, KXLH reports.

Mills was also charged in 2016 with sexual intercourse without consent, according to the station. It was not immediately clear how that charge was resolved.

She remained in custody as of early Wednesday, online jail records show.
