Tragedy and grief collided for a Michigan family last week, as a woman and her son died in a car crash a half hour before her husband’s funeral.

Loralie Hunter, 71, and Troy Bass, 53, died when their vehicle was hit by a pickup truck outside Lansing just before 10 a.m. Friday, according to Michigan Live.

A funeral was scheduled for Ross Hunter, Loralie’s husband, at 10:30 a.m. that day, the outlet said.

A third person in the vehicle was injured.

Joint funeral services will now be held for the couple in May, according to Loralie’s obituary.
