Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
A Pennsylvania man learned that adage the hard way after his ex-girlfriend caught him with another woman and stabbed him in the groin, police said.
Kimberly Gillett, 25, of Lancaster, was arrested late Monday at a motel in the 1700 block of Old Philadelphia Pike in East Lampeter Township, where responding officers found Gillett’s former flame, Alvaro Rodriguez-Santana, police said.
The man told officers that Gillett confronted him in the motel’s parking lot, where she became enraged after seeing him with another woman. She then stabbed Rodriguez-Santana, 25, and fled, police said.
Rodriguez-Santana, also of Lancaster, was rushed to a hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Gillett was later arrested without incident at her home in Lancaster on charges of aggravated assault. She was taken into custody at the Lancaster County Prison, where she was held on $250,000 bond prior to posting bail, police said.
Attempts to reach Gillett on Friday were unsuccessful.
