A Memphis woman tried to hire her baby daddy as a hit man to kill her soon-to-be hubby, police said.

Crystal Gadlin, 32, was charged with solicitation of murder after the ex she sought out for the hit job turned her in to police, news station WMC-TV reported.

The man, who is the father of her children, told authorities she offered him $40,000 to murder her fiancé after their wedding.

Gadlin allegedly told him she would pay him for the killing after she cashed in on her fiancé’s life insurance settlement.

Her ex, however, recorded their conversation and went to police with the tape, according to authorities.

Police arrested Gadlin, but she didn’t give a statement about the alleged plot “due to her self-admission that she was high and intoxicated on cocaine,” according to records obtained by the Commercial Appeal.

She remained in custody this week on $200,000 bond, WMC-TV reported.
