PORTLAND, Ore. — A Portland woman has been sentenced to 45 days in jail for hitting a neighbor on the head with a beer bottle in a confrontation that started when she yelled the n-word at the neighbor’s children.
The Oregonian/OregonLive reports Multnomah County Circuit Judge Jerry Hodson told Brenda Glenn Wednesday that he hopes she realizes that the slurs and violent behavior could have a lasting impact on her victims.
Hodson found Glenn guilty of felony assault and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
The judge also sentenced Glenn to two years of probation, 32 hours of community service and evaluations to assess her for drug, alcohol and mental health problems.
Glenn didn’t comment in court about the September 2016 incident.
