Influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate have been charged with rape and human trafficking in the UK, British prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Andrew Tate, 38, has been hit with 10 charges including rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking and controlling prostitution for gain, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
The charges against the controversial influencer and former kickboxer relate to three women.
Tristan Tate is facing rape and sex trafficking charges. APTristan Tate, 36, faces 11 charges including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking related to one woman, according to the CPS.
The brothers must deal with ongoing charges in Romania, where they are currently living, before they are extradited to the UK to face the latest 21 charges.
A European Arrest Warrant was issued for the pair last year.
Both brothers were charged after prosecutors reviewed a file of evidence from Bedfordshire Police in South East England, the CPS statement said.
The Tates have always denied any wrongdoing.
Andrew Tate did not respond immediately to the CPS announcement on X, where he is a frequent poster.
His only post following the announcement was a post for a video promoting his marketing scheme, “Join The Real World.”
Both Andrew and Tristan Tate were born in the US but moved to the UK with their mother after their parents divorced.
The older Tate brother first became known in the UK in 2016 following his removal from the “Big Brother” reality show after a video surfaced of him appearing to hit a woman with a belt.

Tate later built a largely young male online following based on marketing his lifestyle built around masculinity and money.
The brothers were first arrested in Romania in December 2022 after Andrew was accused of rape and human trafficking and Tristan was suspected of human trafficking.
Both denied the accusations but spent several months under house arrest in Romania.
In August last year, the pair were hit with new allegations, including sex with a minor and trafficking underage persons, all of which they deny.
In February, the Tates flew to the US after Romanian prosecutors lifted a travel ban, but flew back the following month to fulfill their legal obligations.
