The suspected ISIS terrorist accused of shooting up a Hanukkah ceremony on Bondi Beach with his now-dead dad was hit with nearly 60 charges on Wednesday, as funerals started for some of the 15 who were slaughtered.
Naveed Akram, 24, was hit with the slew of charges — including terrorism and 15 counts of murder — after waking from a coma in a Sydney hospital where he has been since he was shot by cops, ending Sunday’s bloodshed.
He is accused of joining his father in an antisemitic mass shooting targeting Jews celebrating Hanukkah at the famed beach.

The charges include one count of murder for each of the slain victims, as well as 40 counts of causing harm with intent to murder the scores of people also injured.

Investigators had earlier revealed that the Akrams’ car, which was found at the scene, contained improvised explosive devices and multiple homemade ISIS flags.

Ahmed al-Ahmed, 43, tackled one of the shooters to disarm his rifle during the shooting.
“Early indications point to a terrorist attack inspired by ISIS, a listed terrorist organization in Australia,” NSW Police said in a statement.
Akram remains in the hospital under heavy police guard and is slated to appear in court via video link early next week.

Questions are also swirling after it emerged Naveed Akram was briefly investigated by Australia’s domestic intelligence agency in 2019 over alleged links to ISIS.

Meanwhile, the charges came as hundreds of mourners from Sydney’s close-knit Jewish community gathered to begin burying the dead.

Ahmed al-Ahmed suffered gunshot wounds and was due to undergo surgery on Wednesday.
The victims ranged in age from a 10-year-old girl to an 87-year-old Holocaust survivor.
