A bodybuilding champion who won eight consecutive titles has died at the age of 30 due to a possible heart problem, according to reports.

Wang Kun, a juggernaut in the Chinese bodybuilding community, died from what “seems to be due to a heart problem,” a spokesperson for the Anhui Provincial Bodybuilding Association confirmed on Wednesday, according to Jam Press.

Just days before his untimely death, Wang, a professional athlete with the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness Professional League, appeared in good health.

In previous interviews, Wang boasted about living a “monk’s life” to get his insane physique, with a strict diet of hot pot broth with meat dipped in soy sauce and boiled chicken breast.

He was also looking forward to opening a new gym in Hefei, China, which he had predicted would be “a new starting point, a new world … right before my eyes.”

Wang won an incredible eight consecutive titles at the Chinese Body Building Association National Bodybuilding Championships.
