Acclaimed, Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren was branded an “evil Zionist b—-” by an anti-Israel thug while she was walking in London, shocking video shows.
The 80-year-old was accosted while she was walking in the East London neighborhood of Tower Hill with her husband, Taylor Hackford, 81, according to the clip shared by London & UK Street News on Thursday.
“There is Helen Mirren, the avowed Zionist. You said Israel should last forever because of the Holocaust,” the yob shouted, referring to the actress’s 2023 remarks about the Jewish state.

Mirren is a longtime supporter of Israel — first visiting the Jewish state in 1967 shortly after the Six-Day War.
The actress, who played Israel’s first female prime minister, Golda Meir, in the 2023 drama film “Golda,” said she believes in the “existence of Israel.”

“I believe in Israel, in the existence of Israel, and I believe Israel has to go forward into the future, for the rest of eternity,” she told Israel’s Channel 12 at the time.
“I believe in Israel because of the Holocaust.”
Mirren’s appearance in the film proved controversial — and the London-based Palestinian Solidarity Campaign led calls for a boycott.

In a 2023 Radio Times interview, Mirren recalled a conversation with the film’s director, Guy Nattiv, in which she offered to step aside from the role if the question of her religion became an “issue.”
“But he said, ‘No, it’s not an issue. I want you to play Golda.’ And off we went,” she said.

The actress, who won an Academy Award in 2007 for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in “The Queen,” was one of the A-listers who signed a letter supporting Israel’s appearance in this month’s Eurovision Song Contest.
