Alarming British Airways cockpit footage shows Iranian rockets arcing near flight over Middle East

By Alex Oliveira

Alarming footage taken from the cockpit of a British Airways flight over the Middle East captured Iranian-launched missiles soaring nearby — suggesting Iran failed to make sure the airways were clear of international civilian flights before they filled the sky with hundreds of explosives.

The clip was filmed by the pilot of the Dubai-bound BA flight Tuesday evening, and showed what is clearly a volley of recently fired ballistic missiles rising into the night sky on their way to Israel.

All the missiles safely cleared the airliner — but the footage showed just how close Iran came to immediately setting off an international incident by firing rockets into the skies without first making sure they were clear of civilian air traffic from across the world.

By Victor Nava

Secretary of State Antony Blinken was ridiculed Tuesday over his magazine essay lauding the Harris-Biden administration’s foreign policy strategy that was published the same day Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles at Israel.

“The Biden administration’s strategy has put the United States in a much stronger geopolitical position today than it was four years ago,” Blinken wrote in a piece for Foreign Affairs magazine, as tensions in the Middle East escalated.

“We increased diplomatic pressure and strengthened the US military’s force posture to deter and constrain Tehran,” the 62-year-old top State Department official wrote in another section of the ill-timed essay, which went on to slam former President Donald Trump for exiting the Iran nuclear deal.

“We demonstrated to Iran that there was a path back to a mutual return to compliance — if Iran was willing to take it — while maintaining a robust sanctions regime and our commitment that Iran will never be permitted to obtain a nuclear weapon,” Blinken said of the Harris-Biden administration’s policy toward the Islamic Republic.

Trump says US ‘very close to a global catastrophe’ after Iran missiles strike Israel: ‘World War III’

By Josh Christenson

Former President Donald Trump warned during a campaign event Tuesday that the US is “very close to a global catastrophe” and could be sleepwalking into “World War III,” just hours after Iran fired nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel.

“Iran launched 181 ballistic missiles at Israel,” Trump announced to rallygoers in Waunakee, Wis., during an afternoon event at a manufacturing facility with former Gov. Scott Walker.

Most of the missiles were intercepted by Israel’s Arrow and David’s Sling missile defense systems, with assistance from US destroyers and Jordanian interceptors in the region, though some damage and casualties were reported.

“I’ve been talking about World War III for a long time, and I don’t want to make predictions, because the predictions always come true,” said Trump, 78. “But they are very close to global catastrophe.”

House GOP leadership slams Biden-Harris administration Iran policy: 'The strategy of appeasement has failed'

By Josh Christenson

Speaker Johnson, Leader Scalise, Whip Emmer and Chairwoman Stefanik released the following statement after Iran launched a direct against Israel.

“Iran is again brazenly attacking Israel with a barrage of rocket fire and an apparent coordinated terrorist attack. The world is watching as Israeli families seek safety and shelter as waves of missile attacks light up the sky. We pray for their safety and urge the Biden-Harris Administration to deliver a strong message to the Iranian regime that this unjustified violence and terror must end. The strategy of appeasement has failed, and a policy of interdiction is not enough.

“American leadership has never been more important, and the world should know that the United States will continue to stand firmly with Israel as it fights for its very survival. Our adversaries are carrying out increasingly dangerous attacks because of Biden and Harris' weak and failed foreign policy. The world needs America to return to a maximum pressure campaign against Iran, and President Biden needs to make clear that there will be decisive economic and potential military ramifications for these actions."
