Israeli spies infiltrated the heart of Iran before Friday morning’s Operation Rising Lion airstrikes.
Israel's Defence Minister Israel Katz warned Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that "Tehran will burn" if it keeps firing missiles at Israeli civilians.
"The Iranian dictator is taking the citizens of Iran hostage, bringing about a reality in which they, and especially Teheran's residents, will pay a heavy price for the flagrant harm inflicted upon Israel's citizens. If Khamenei continues to fire missiles at the Israeli home front, Tehran will burn," Katz said in a statement.
Iran said the dialogue with the US over Tehran’s nuclear program is “meaningless” after Israel’s biggest-ever military strike against its longstanding enemy, but said it is yet to decide on whether to attend planned talks on Sunday.
“The other side (the US) acted in a way that makes dialog meaningless. You cannot claim to negotiate and at the same time divide work by allowing the Zionist regime (Israel) to target Iran’s territory,” state media on Saturday quoted foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei as saying.
“It is still unclear what decision we will make on Sunday in this regard,” Baghaei was quoted as saying.
He said Israel “succeeded in influencing” the diplomatic process and the Israeli attack would not have happened without Washington’s permission, accusing Washington of supporting the attack.
Israel launched air strikes inside Iran late Thursday.
Iran earlier accused the US of being complicit in Israel’s attacks, but Washington denied the allegation and told Tehran at the United Nations Security Council that it would be “wise” to negotiate over its nuclear program.
Iran denies that its uranium enrichment program is for anything other than civilian purposes, rejecting Israeli allegations that it is secretly developing nuclear weapons.
US President Donald Trump told Reuters that he and his team had known the Israeli attacks were coming but they still saw room for an accord.

Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar celebrated the strikes as a successful attack against Iran.
"After a powerful day in which we attacked hundreds of targets, including dozens of anti-aircraft targets, we carried out a wave of precise strikes of operational and national significance over the skies of Tehran, which improves our air superiority and freedom of action in Iran," Bar said.
Israel's initial attacks on Iran's air defense systems allowed the air force to fly manned aircraft over it's enemies capital without fear of being shot down.

"We chose to act in the face of an existential threat to the security of our citizens, with professionalism, determination and precision."
Bar warned the air force would continue its attacks on Iran as part of Israel's ongoing operation against the Islamic Regime.

Smoke rose from the white casing of a rocket after it was shot down by Israeli intercepting missiles, CNN's International Diplomatic Editor Nic Robertson reported on X.
"This just came down. We were watching intercepts in the sky above me and there was a lot of loud explosions and impacts, and you can see here this missile here, lying in the road is still smoking," he said.
Robertson reported the missile was part of the salvo Iranian launched at Israel early Saturday morning.
Conservative CNN pundit Scott Jennings is trapped in Israel after Iran launched a barrage of retaliatory missile attacks on the Jewish state Friday.
"There have been a few surprises that I didn't anticipate during my trip to Israel, to say the least," said Jennings, who has posted several videos on X of missile intercepts from his hotel on the Sea of Galilee.
"Don't think I am getting out of Israel today! But will continue to report on what I see and hear."
Jennings announced earlier this week he'd be off air as he traveled to Israel, where he met with Hamas hostages and visited areas hardest hit by the terror group's deadly Oct. 7, 2023, attack.
He has since been documenting Friday's wave of attacks on Israel, which launched a massive airstrike on Iran hours earlier to destroy nuclear facilities, missile factories and its military.
"President Trump told Iran they had 60 days to make a deal. They didn't listen," he wrote in a separate post.
"Now they're paying the price. What's incredible is that the US and Israel actively planned for this scenario of non-compliance. What they pulled off is miraculous."
