“Keep your hands to yourself” probably sounds better in French.

Brigitte Macron, dressed all in white, instead ignored her hubby, holding on to the handrail instead, leaving her husband to awkwardly move away.
After Macron gave Kate’s hand an air kiss, the French president and first lady got into a waiting car, with Brigitte looking at her phone and saying nothing.

After meeting with William and Kate, the Macrons were driven from RAF Northolt airfield in West London to Windsor Castle to meet with King Charles III and Camilla.
The couple then went their separate ways, with the French president traveling with the British monarch in an open-topped carriage through the streets of Windsor, while the First Lady sat in a separate carriage with the queen.
Brigitte appeared much friendlier with the British public than with her husband, blowing kisses to the crowd as her carriage passed through the narrow Windsor streets while the state bands struck up the French national anthem, “the Marseillaise.”
Macron had lunch with the king and queen before heading back to London to address the British parliament.
The French first were then trained to a state banquet at Windsor Castle.
Kate wore a brilliant, full-length red down with a sash and tiara — her first appearance at a state dinner since November 2023.
This was the first formal state visit to the UK by a French leader since 2008 — when Nicholas Sarkozy was president and model Carla Bruni was first lady.
