At least 14 people, including a family with three young children, were injured following Russia’s latest overnight bombardment in Ukraine’s Sumy region, officials said.

Moscow fired 15 drones at Sumy’s Okhtyrka area early Wednesday, hitting a residential neighborhood and wounding three kids, one of whom was only 5 months old, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko wrote on X.

The other two siblings injured in the blast were 4 and 6 years old, she added.

“Russia continues to manifest its fears through acts of pure terrorism across Ukraine, once again targeting the homes of families and their sleeping children,” she said.

The attack was part of a barrage of 93 drones and two missiles fired across the border overnight, with only 62 of the projectiles intercepted, according to the Ukrainian air force.

One of the targets of the attack was against a fuel and energy facility in the southern Odessa region, where a large fire erupted, Ukraine’s State Emergency Services reported.

The assault came after the previous day’s massive barrage, which saw Moscow fire 270 drones and 10 missiles into the war-torn neighbor’s territory, the largest attack of the month so far.

It followed a deadly strike on Monday that killed at least 14 civilians and left more than 50 others injured.

That barrage added to the war’s already horrifying death toll of nearly 13,000 civilians — including 569 children — since Russia invaded in February 2022, according to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office data shared with The Post.

Moscow has continued to escalate its attacks on Ukraine despite Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s claim that he’s open to securing a peace deal with President Trump

Russia has also been claiming to have conquered more and more territory along the frontlines following Trump’s meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claims that have been undercut by experts analyzing the conflict.

Zelensky said the attacks, including the latest in the Sumy region, are proof that Putin is not committed to peace and is only stringing Ukrainian and American mediators along.

“All of these are demonstrative strikes that only confirm the need to put pressure on Moscow, the need to impose new sanctions and tariffs until diplomacy is fully effective,” Zelensky wrote on X

He also called on the US and European leaders to help Ukraine secure the appropriate security guarantees to end Russian hostility.
