Dramatic footage shows the moment a teetering Boeing 747 plane’s wing scraped the runway as it attempted to land at Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport during a gusty typhoon.

The UPS cargo plane was seen in the terrifying viral footage wobbling side to side on an angled descent before its right wing tilted and slammed into the runway, unleashing a torrent of sparks across the tarmac.

The aircraft, which departed from Hong Kong International Airport, had attempted to land three times before the disastrous touchdown as vicious winds from Typhoon Podul battered the region, according to Aviation Safety Network.

The plane suffered damage to its engine, appearing to lose its outer covering during the crash.
