A hero older man blocked a knife-wielding attacker from stabbing a younger girl as victims prepared to fight back with a bottle of Jack Daniels during Saturday’s UK train attack, according to a report.

The unidentified man suffered gashes to his head and neck while preventing the train attackers from slaughtering a youngster on the blood-soaked LREN train from Peterborough to London, witness Olly Foster told the BBC.

“By the time I got to the end of the carriage, I was actually at the back of it and there was about six of us,” Foster said. “There was a girl, bless her, who was really really in a bit of state because the guy actually tried to stab her. And one of the older guys, who’s an absolute hero, blocked it with his head. We’re giving him jackets to keep the pressure on the blood.”

Foster, who was sitting in coach, stated that people pushing through the train car left “blood all over the chair[s]” of the train with the travelers only means of defense against the violent assailants being a bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey.

“We had a Jack Daniels bottle between us and that was it,” Foster recalled. “So we’re sitting there with one Jack Daniels bottle looking down this carriage, praying someone doesn’t walk down with a knife or a gun.”

Foster said he was alerted to the stabbing attack when wounded passengers ran down the train car, warning them to “run, run, there’s a guy stabbing literally everyone and everything.'”

Foster initially believed a passenger was pulling a Halloween prank.

The incident lasted 10 to 15 minutes in total, though Foster said the violent spree “felt like forever.”

No motive for the horrifying attack has been given.

Reports said the cops used the term code “Plato” for the incident, which is used in the UK for an apparent “marauding terror attack.”

On Sunday, British police said that the attack was not being treated as a terrorist incident.

Officer John Loveless said Sunday that the two suspects were a Black British national, 32, and a 35-year-old British national of Caribbean descent.

The two men, who were dressed in all-black, were taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder after being tasered by police after the train stopped at the LREN station.

Ten people were taken from Huntingdon station with nine suffering life-threatening injuries as a result of the attacks, according to officials. Four have since been released from the hospital.

During the attack, travelers struggled to run through the train cars to avoid further carnage at the hands of the assailants.

“They were making their way through the carriage to get away from the suspects. They were extremely bloodied,” a man using the name Gavin told Sky News.

That witness said the suspect was carrying “quite a large knife” and was “running rampant” during the ghastly stabbing.
