Santiago De Compostela, Spain — An American woman died yesterday as a result of last week’s horrific train crash, bringing the death toll to 79.
The passenger died at the University Hospital complex in Santiago de Compostela, a hospital spokeswoman confirmed.
Spanish national broadcaster RTVE said the victim was an American woman. Another American woman died the day of the July 24 derailment.
