A young woman working at a safari park in South Africa was killed by a pack of lions after entering the animals’ enclosure.
Swans van Wyke, 21, managed to escape the pen, but later died from her wounds.
”Our initial investigations show she was performing her duties when attacked by an unknown number of lions. The circumstances leading to this tragic incident are still unknown at this stage,” South African Police spokesman Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe told the Star.
The park is currently closed to the public.
